However, it’s her dress that caught the eye of viewers at home
Bryce Dallas Howard’s Golden Globes dress
The sequin dress may be eye-catching and loud, but its environmental impact is quiet. Taking to Instagram, Bryce Dallas Howard explained her dress choice and it’s ethical qualities.
Sporting a sequin Temperly London dress, she bought it on luxury consignment site The Real Real, which allows users to resell their luxury garments. While she upped the eco-ante with a pair of Alexander McQueen heels she’s previously worn. Much more sustainable than borrowing yet another dress from a designer, never to be worn again.
“As many of you know, I love the sustainability of consignment fashion and often find second-hand pieces for press,” she captioned her Instagram post.
“Tonight’s fit is a sequin ombré dress (which matches my hair!) with magenta [Alexander McQueen] pumps from a press tour a few years.”

The sequins however were a down-side for others, who felt it was too much: “Bryce Dallas Howard out here in a Flip the Sequins Dress,” commented one Twitter user.
