
Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that Aston Villa central defenders Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa played well against his side.
The Whites went down 1-0 to Villa at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Leeds did not have the best of games in attack, as the visiting team defended well and kept the home side’s attackers at bay.
Villa central defenders Mings and Konsa played well at the back, and Leeds head coach Bielsa was impressed by them.
Bielsa told Leeds Live when asked about Mings and Konsa: “If I was responsible for Aston Villa, I would say those players defended very well.”

According to WhoScored, Mings took two shots which were not on target, had a pass accuracy of 50%, won five headers, took 37 touches, and made one tackle and nine clearances.

Konsa had a pass accuracy of 58.3%, won three headers, took 24 touches, attempted one dribble, and made one tackle, one interception and three clearances, according to WhoScored.
The win means that Villa are eighth in the Premier League table with 39 points from 24 matches, six points behind fourth-placed West Ham United, who have played 26 games.
As for Leeds, the Whites are now 10th in the standings with 35 points from 26 matches.
