Despite being Aston Villa’s second-choice right-back, Ahmed Elmohamady did quite a job against Leeds yesterday.
The 33-year-old was up against one of the top performers in the Premier League of late – Raphinha – but it’s fair to say he dealt with his threat.

And going by Elmohamady’s Twitter feed, he seemingly agrees with that thought because he has liked several Twitter messages from Villa fans saying that Leeds’ in-form speedster got dealt by him yesterday.
It was a pretty impressive showing by Elmohamady, who only started his third Premier League game of the season.
Villa fans had a right to be slightly worried by their £1 million player yesterday (BBC Sport) after he struggled against Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes last week.
But he put all of that behind him in Yorkshire and wowed the Villa faithful, who boosted their European chances with a valuable three points on the road.
