James Charles drama explained:

People made James trend on Twitter after a video uploaded by a TikTok user accused the beauty mogul of being a groomer and pedophile. The user named  Isiayah posted a TikTok video with screenshots of his alleged conversation with James.

Isiayah claimed that James continued to ask for nudes despite knowing that he was 16. He also posted screenshots of some conversation he had with James. It was only a matter of seconds that James was trending on Twitter. Several people were quick to cancel him for the same.

However, the internet was divided. Fans of James suggested he had been a victim of false accusations in the past and hinted this might be one of them. Meanwhile, others seemed to support Isiayah.

James Charles denies allegations

After several people tried to cancel James on Twitter, he came forward and denied all the allegations. “There is a video going around of me on TikTok and Twitter of a guy calling me a groomer and I want to address it right away. The conversation that I have groomed this person is completely false,” he said.

James alleged that he came across Isiayah’s Instagram page through the explore option on the site. He found out that Isiayah followed him, and so James decided to add him on Snapchat. The content creator claimed he received a ton of messages from Isiayah and some of them were “lewd photos.”

At this point, James asked Isiayah how old he was. Isiayah allegedly stated he was 18 years old. Hearing this, James decided to continue to flirt. However, James stopped once he found out that Isiayah was 16-years-old and had lied about his age. He decided to unfriend him following this.

He ended his post by writing, “I am not victim blaming him or victimizing myself either, simply sharing what happened, and what happened was not okay. After false allegations like this in the past, I would never knowingly engage with someone underage and put my life on the line for a few snapchats. Because of situation like this, instead of taking someone’s word for it, I will now ask to see the ID or passport of every guy I have a conversation with.”
