Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho has told Football.London that Serge Aurier is not injured.
Spurs will take on Burnley at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Aurier was recently in the treatment room, but Mourinho has said that the 28-year-old right-back is fit and is available for the game against the Clarets.
Mourinho told Football.London about Aurier on Friday: “Serge is fine, he’s fine. Trained today with the team without any limitations.”
Positive news for Tottenham Hotspur
Aurier is a good right-back and is an important player in the Tottenham team.
The 28-year-old being fit for the match against Burnley certainly boosts Spurs’ chances of picking up all three points, and the defender will give Mourinho a valuable option.
Even if Aurier does not start, he is a good player to bring on as a substitute.
According to WhoScored, the Ivory Coast international right-back has scored two goals and provided one assist in 13 Premier League games and has played twice in the Europa League for Spurs so far this season.
Tottenham are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 24 matches, nine points behind fourth-placed and London rivals West Ham United, who have played 25 games.
