Lady Gaga’s dog walker was shot in LA on Wednesday night whilst walking her three French Bulldogs. But where does the singer live?
Whilst walking Lady Gaga’s three French Bulldogs Koji, Miss Asia and Gustav around Los Angeles on Wednesday, dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot and immediately taken to hospital in an unknown condition.
Police were called to North Sierra Bonita Avenue, a street off Sunset Boulevard at about 9.40pm on Wednesday after many 911 calls had reported a man screaming and the sound of gunshots, The Guardian reports.
A male suspect reportedly fired a semi-automatic handgun at him and he was shot in the chest four times. However, reports say he is now in a stable condition and is expected to recover.
We know Ryan was walking the dogs around Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, but where does she actually live? And are dognappings common in that area? Let’s find out…
Where does Lady Gaga live?
Lady Gaga has a home in the Hollywood Hills just 12 minutes away from where the attack on her dog walker occurred.
It’s worth $5.25 million, and she bought it from late-musician Frank Zappa in 2016.
The 6,700 square food home is certainly eccentric, with some very unique and quaint qualities, and it’s far from the modern hidden hills homes you see today.
She also has a home in Malibu
However, Lady Gaga’s main place of residence when she’s in LA is her Malibu mansion. Worth $22.5 million, it spans 10,270 square feet and is set on almost six-acres.
Known as her ‘gypsy palace’, she bought it in 2014 from Warner Bros. consumer products division founder Dan Romanelli who added a Batcave-like lair with a secret door and passageway from the living room.
It also boasts an 800-bottle wine cellar, a home theater, a two-lane bowling alley, a saltwater pool, horse stables and impressive ocean and mountain views.
However, the home only actually as three bedrooms as a number of the rooms have been made into closets for her various designer collections. She has a whole room for both her Alexander McQueen and Gianni Versace wardrobes!
Are dognappings common on Los Angeles?
It’s currently unknown whether the attack was politically motivated, and the FBI are currently investigating the shooting.
However, dognappings are common in Los Angeles, specifically with French Bulldogs.
Their small, easy-to-catch size and huge price tag make them an easy target, and they can often be sold for up to $10,000.
A lot of celebrities and wealthy people also live in and around Los Angeles who have very expensive pooches, adding to the attraction of dognapping in the city.
