Liverpool fans have been left seriously annoyed with reports that Jordan Henderson could face 12 weeks on the sidelines.

The Daily Mail say that Henderson’s injury is worse than first feared and Liverpool’s captain may now miss the majority of the rest of the season.

With Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk already out for the entire campaign, it is yet another terrible piece of news for a Liverpool side, who appear low on confidence.

Henderson’s absence means that Jurgen Klopp’s side have even fewer options in defence now.

The England international had been playing at centre-back recently, with his experience crucial to Liverpool – given that they have so many key players out.

However, the Reds’ task of turning their form around has just become even more difficult.

Liverpool are currently sat outside the top four, with their next game coming against rock bottom Sheffield United.
