A number of Snowfall viewers have been wondering whether Skully is a real person – who is the actor behind the character?
Created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio and Dave Andron, Snowfall premiered on FX back in 2017, exploring the devastating crack epidemic in 1983 Los Angeles.
The crime-drama series has finally returned for a much-anticipated fourth season, bringing back many familiar faces.
One of them is Skully who dominated the spotlight of last night’s (February 24th) episode and many viewers wonder whether this is the actor’s real name. So, who plays Skully?
Is Skully a real person?
No, Skully is not a real person. Deaundre Bonds stars as the character in the FX series.
Skully was first seen in a couple of episodes back in 2019 when he appeared as a minor character in season 3. He has now returned in season 4 and it looks like viewers will get to see more of him.
He was introduced as an associate and business partner of Manboy.
We are not going to spoil the new season for fans but just bear in mind that Skully got involved in a lot of action in the first episode.
Where else has Deaundre Bonds starred in?
Snowfall’s Skully is the first major role Deaundre landed in the last few years but he’s also known for appearances in other movies and TV series.
For instance, he appeared in the 1995 crime horror movie Tales from the Hood and in a few episodes of the TV series NYPD Blue (1997-2001).
Deaundre then portrayed the character of Duke Del-Red in Gangster Squad (with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone) and starred as Stacey in the 2015 movie Dope.
According to IMDB, the actor is set to appear in two more projects soon, Blood Sacrifice and Once a Soldier.
