Arsenal are looking at Tariq Lamptey and Max Aarons as replacements for Hector Bellerin, CBS Sport report.
Arsenal are now stepping up their chase for a new right-back, as Bellerin’s future falls into more doubt.
The Spaniard has apparently indicated that he would be willing to move on from the Gunners at the end of the season.
And Arteta’s side are now drawing up plans to replace him, with two names in mind.
Lamptey and Aarons have both been considered targets of Arsenal before, but it seems that their interest in the pair could grow stronger over the coming months.
Lamptey is currently at Brighton & Hove Albion and he has really caught the eye this season.
Lamptey has been out injured recently, but in the early part of the campaign he was a huge attacking threat for Brighton.
The youngster’s pace makes him seriously dangerous going forward, and he also proved he was capable defensively.
Ashley Cole is one of Lamptey’s biggest admirers, and said on Sky Sports back in September: “He’s been quality. How dangerous is he?
“He isolates players out wide and he’s been such a threat all game.”
Aarons, meanwhile, is one of the standout players in the Championship and there is a feeling he won’t be at Norwich for much longer.
Aarons is another defender who is very comfortable playing on the front foot.
He is valued at £30 million according to the Daily Mail in January, but Arsenal are likely to bring the bulk of that sum in, if they do part ways with Bellerin.
