Arsenal will reportedly have to pay £40 million to sign Max Aarons from Norwich City in the summer of 2021.

On Monday, CBS Sports reported interest in the Norwich star from Premier League club Arsenal.

The report claimed that the Gunners are looking at the right-back as a potential replacement for Hector Bellerin, as covered by HITC Sport.

Eurosport has reported today that Norwich will sell the 21-year-old at the end of the season, but only for £40 million.

The report has claimed that Bayern Munich are interested in the youngster, and that ‘there is a growing chance’ that he will make the switch to the German powerhouse.

Good signing for Arsenal?

Aarons has played in the Premier League with Norwich before and is one of the best young right-backs in English football.

If Bellerin leaves Arsenal at the end of the season, then the 21-year-old would be a good replacement, as he is young, dynamic and can grow and develop in the coming years.

Described as “outstanding” by Norwich manager Daniel Farke in The Pink Un in December 2020, Aarons has scored one goal in 31 Championship matches so far this season, and provided one assist in 36 Premier League games for the Canaries in 2019-20, according to WhoScored.
