Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react in furious fashion after seeing what Roberto Firmino has done following the Merseyside derby defeat.

After scoring in Everton’s 2-0 win, Richarlison uploaded a celebratory Instagram post showing him and his teammates embracing at Anfield.

Then, Firmino was seen to have liked the post by eagle-eyed Liverpool supporters on Twitter, who are absolutely livid about it.

Losing to Everton at Anfield for the first time since 1999 must’ve been hard for Liverpool fans to take, especially seeing as it was just one of many awful results in recent weeks.

However, seeing Firmino like an image of the Reds’ arch-rivals celebrating on their own turf will have rubbed salt in the wounds, without a doubt.

The two forwards are teammates for the Brazilian national team, which is probably why Liverpool’s No.9 did what he did.

Having said that, Firmino really should’ve read the room and thought about how fans might react to him liking the £40 million man’s post.

In our view, the fans are perhaps even more angry about this because the former Hoffenheim man hasn’t had a good season so far.

The 29-year-old has scored just six goals in 25 Premier League appearances this term, which isn’t great.

He’s capable of so much more.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about his Instagram activity…
