Paul Merson raved about Leeds United winger Raphinha on Sky Sports News (12:05pm, February 20, 2021) for his performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The former Arsenal and Aston Villa star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, was impressed by Raphinha’s deliveries from set-pieces.
The 24-year-old Brazilian winger was superb for Leeds and provided some great deliveries inside the box.
However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side failed to make the most of them and lost the Premier League game 1-0.
Merson said about Raphinha on Sky Sports News (12:05pm, February 20, 2021): “Raphinha’s set plays were phenomenal. I mean, some of his balls in, I would call it, no-man’s land. There are free kicks where you think they are not a good place to have them, the service was phenomenal.”

Raphinha is a star
Raphinha has been superb for Leeds so far this season and has been earning a lot of praise.
Some Liverpool fans were impressed by the performance of the winger against Wolves and appear to be keen on the club signing him in the summer of 2021.
According to a report in JuveLive earlier this month, as covered by HITC Sport, the defending Premier League are interested in signing the winger in the summer of 2021.
According to WhoScored, the winger took four shots and one was on target, played six key passes, had a pass accuracy of 71%, won one header, took 78 touches, attempted three dribbles, made three tackles, four interceptions and four clearances, and put in 13 crosses.
According to WhoScored, the Brazilian has made 16 starts and three substitute appearances in the league for Leeds so far this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists in the process.
