Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has raved about Adama Traore on the Premier League’s official Youtube channel, after his links with Elland Road.
According to EuroSport last month, Leeds are ‘likely’ to try and bid for the Wolves winger in the summer.
And if Leeds can bring the Spanish international to Yorkshire this summer then Cooper will surely be delighted.
“It’s got to be Adama. The man is an unbelievable specimen,” Cooper said, when asked for the quickest player he knows.
“If he’s got you one-v-one you best get running back to your goal, because you’re not catching him.
“We are so man for man it’s difficult to do that [change tactics]. But I think Adama is a different test, you have to sacrifice the man to man to sort of double and treble up on him.
“He can be so effective if he gets up to full speed if he gets in those one-v-one situations.”
Traore actually hasn’t had as productive a season this term as he has last season.
But the thought of him joining Leeds’ team is a scary one for the rest of the Premier League.
Traore could be unleashed in a Marcelo Bielsa side, who are so dangerous on the counter attack.
His speed and dribbling ability would offer Leeds a new type of outlet up-front, and he could make the Whites a huge threat going forward if he was to arrive.
Cooper is actually set to come up against Traore later this evening, when Leeds take on Wolves in the Premier League.
