According to Goal, Manchester City are in the race to sign Boca Juniors talent Exequiel Palacios – but face a major battle.

It’s claimed that Barcelona and Real Madrid both want to sign Zeballos, with City also looking to sign the Argentinian.

Boca have though given Zeballos a new contract until 2025, meaning they may not be under any immediate pressure to sell.

Zeballos is only 18, but is already a first-team player for Boca, with four appearances to his name having risen through the ranks.

Predominantly a right-sided winger, Zeballos is described as being ‘frighteningly fast’ whilst also being compared to Neymar.

Zeballos has also racked up 15 caps for Argentina’s Under-17’s, and there seems to be real excitement that he could be a star of the future.

City raided the Argentinian market last year by signing striker Nahuel Bustos from Talleres, before loaning him straight out to Girona.

They may have a similar idea in mind for Zeballos, though signing him and leaving him to develop at Boca may be the best plan if City are desperate to sign him this summer.
