Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard has told the club’s official website that he thinks Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ‘amazing’.
The Gunners beat Leeds United 4-2 on Sunday evening, and Aubameyang stole the show with a superb hat-trick.
Aubameyang fired home the opener from Granit Xhaka’s pass as he beat Illan Meslier at his near post, before Aubameyang grabbed a second from the penalty spot.
With Arsenal 3-0 up, Aubameyang then headed home his hat-trick goal, converting from Emile Smith Rowe’s cross that looked an awful lot like a shot.
Arsenal ended up conceding twice to only win 4-2 in the end, but it couldn’t take the shine off Aubameyang’s superb evening.
The 31-year-old has been through tough spells this season, leading to many questioning whether he is really worth the £250,000-a-week deal Arsenal gave him over the summer.

Now though, new signing Odegaard has admitted that he already thinks Aubameyang is ‘amazing’, despite only playing with him for less than a month.
The Norwegian branded Aubameyang a ‘top-quality striker’, and praised the way he takes responsibility for his team, believing that he is a ‘true leader’.
“He’s amazing. He’s a top-quality striker and his hat-trick was well deserved,” said Odegaard. “I’m very happy for him, the way he takes responsibility for the team shows that he’s a true leader,” he added.
