Jamie Carragher was left stunned on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports Premier League (10:52pm, February 15, 2021) when Gary Neville said that he would pick Georginio Wijnaldum ahead of Sami Hyypia as the best Premier League signing for Liverpool.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher said last night that he thinks that Hyypia is the Reds’ best ever signing in the Premier League era.
The Englishman went on to explain why he thinks that the former Finland international defender is a better signing than Mohamed Salah, as shown below in the clip.
Former Manchester United defender Neville was surprised that Carragher picked Hyypia, and said that he would have chosen Wijnaldum ahead of him.
Carragher was shocked by the suggestion that the Netherlands international midfielder is a better signing than Hyypia.

Neville said on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports Premier League (10:52pm, February 15, 2021): “I would have put Wijnaldum, Henderson, Salah and Mane in before some of those that he has.”
Carragher responded: “You would have Wijnaldum in?”
Wijnaldum has been on the books of Liverpool since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Newcastle United for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million.
The 30-year-old is an important player for the Reds and has been a key figure in the team winning the Premier League title and the Champions League over the past two seasons.
Hyypia was at Liverpool from 1999 until 2009, and won the FA Cup and the League Cup twice each and the Champions League and the UEFA Cup once each.
