Tony Cascarino praised Tottenham Hotspur star Erik Lamele on talkSPORT (6:55am, February 13, 2021).
The former Chelsea striker has been impressed by Lamela, and believes that he gets a raw deal from Tottenham fans.
Cascarino also outlined the attributes of the Argentina international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, that have impressed him over the years.

The former Aston Villa striker said about Lamela on talkSPORT (6:55am, February 13, 2021): “I have always liked him, and I have always thought that he had a raw deal, bit with the fans and bit by the managers.
“I think he makes things happen, certainly offensively, and he has got a bit of nasty streak in him.”

Important player for Tottenham Hotspur
Lamela has had injury problems during his time at Tottenham so far, and his performances on the pitch when fit and available have not always been great.
However, the 28-year-old is doing well at Spurs at the moment and has been praised by head coach Jose Mourinho.
According to WhoScored, Lamela has made four starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made one start and one substitute appearance in the Europa League for Spurs so far this season.
Spurs are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table, and win the Europa League and the EFL Cup this season.
For Tottenham to fulfil their objectives this season, Lamela will have to play well.
