According to Tutto C, Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has made contact to try and engineer a move to buy Palermo.
It’s claimed that chairman Dario Mirri has put the club up for sale, and they are dreaming of landing a rich owner who can take the club forward.
Radrizzani has been interested in Bari and Genoa in the past, but now seemingly has his sights set on Palermo as his new project.
The talks are described as being ‘exploratory contact’, with Radrizzani now seemingly one of the favourites to purchase Palermo in the near future.
Radrizzani has done a great job with Leeds, guiding them back to the Premier League under his stewardship having taken over in 2017.
He restored a sleeping giant in Leeds and may see Palermo as a similar project, given that the Italian side have fallen on hard times in recent years.

They used to boast the likes of Paulo Dybala, Javier Pastore, Edinson Cavani, Andrea Belotti, Josip Ilicic and Andrea Barzagli, but fell into financial meltdown in 2019 and are having to rebuild in Italy’s third tier.
Radrizzani cold make himself a hero by taking over and guiding Palermo back to the top flight – just like he has with Leeds.
