Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports during their live coverage of Tottenham’s defeat at Manchester City on Saturday evening that Davinson Sanchez was ‘all over the place’.
The Sky pundit was very critical of how the Spurs defender dealt with Man City’s third goal of the night.
Ederson, who channelled his inner Kevin de Bruyne, saw the goalscoring machine Ilkay Gundogan make a clever run on the back of Tottenham’s defence and laid a 60-yard ball in his path, which Sanchez couldn’t deal with.
Carragher didn’t hold back when assessing Sanchez’s defending during that moment, as the Spurs defender ended up flat on his face.
“Sanchez is all over the place,” said Carragher. “He hasn’t got a clue where he is. Puts him on his backside. Shocking defending.
“He hasn’t got a clue where he is. He is weak. Then gets put on his backside.
“But Tottenham defensively. WOW! A Jose Mourinho team?”

Other than Eric Dier for a small period at the start of the season, Mourinho has had nothing but constant problems with his centre-backs this season.
Sanchez has only got back into the side and yesterday’s performance proved why.
Toby Alderweireld is looking the shadow of the player that was one of the Premier League’s best 24 months ago and Dier has looked unconvincing for months.
And youngster Joe Rodon only joined the club in the summer. Either way, it’s proving to be a major problem for Mourinho.
