Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in shock after hearing what Jürgen Klopp said before the 3-1 defeat against Leicester kicked off earlier today.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss told BT Sport that Ben Davies had suffered a knock in training, which he described as an ‘unbelievable’ occurrence.

Klopp said: “It was a good training week for Ozan. Ben Davies picked up a little knock as well – it is unbelievable.”

Klopp also confirmed that Divock Origi had suffered a hamstring injury, leaving him even lighter in attack after loaning Takumi Minamino to Southampton.

The Reds are now without as many as nine first-team players.

They are Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Diogo Jota, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Caoimhin Kelleher, Origi and Davies.
