According to The London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale was bemused by Jose Mourinho’s comments about him.
Bale was not in the Tottenham squad for their FA Cup tie against Everton in midweek.
Mourinho said that the winger, signed on loan from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020, was not injured, as reported in The London Evening Standard.
The Sun quoted Mourinho as saying about Bale: “Gareth is not on the bench because he wasn’t happy with his training session yesterday.
“I wouldn’t say an injury, not at all, but some feelings he wasn’t happy with. So it was better for him to stay back and to be working with the sports science guys.”
According to The London Evening Standard, Bale was bemused that Mourinho said that he was not injured for the game against Everton.
The report has added that the 31-year-old is ‘unfazed by his treatment and is still eager for a run in the side’.

Good attitude
It seems that Bale is determined to succeed at Tottenham despite his lack of regular playing time this season, and that shows his positive attitude which is good for the North London club, as they aim to finish in the top four of the Premier League table.
According to WhoScored, the winger has made two starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League and has scored one goal in six Europa League games for Spurs so far this season.
Bale can still play an important role for Tottenham in the final months of the season.
