On February 11th rapper Post Malone announced the exciting news that he will be holding a virtual concert for Pokémon Day 2021.

The event will be taking place online on February 27th, as part of the P25 Music series- a collaboration with  Universal Music Group to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokémon.

You can watch the Post Malone virtual Pokemon Day concert for free on the Official Pokémon YouTube Channel, Pokémon’s official Twitch channel and on Pokémon’s 25th anniversary website.

Speaking about the event, Post Malone said in a statement: “I’ve been a Pokémon fan for a long time, so the opportunity to headline the Pokémon Day concert celebrating 25 years is awesome.”

Pokémon released a teaser trailer for the virtual concert, where you can see Post Malone transformed into a Pokémon-style video game character.

When is Post Malone’s Pokémon Day performance?

Post Malone’s Pokémon Day concert will take place on February 27th 2021 from 7pm EST (midnight on February 28 in the UK).

The Post Malone concert kicks off the P25 Music series, a collaboration with  Universal Music Group to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokémon.

As well as Post Malone, Katy Perry is at the forefront of P25 Music and the singer announced the collaboration back in January, stating:

“Pokémon has been a constant in my life from playing the original video games on my Game Boy, to trading Pokémon TCG cards at lunch, to the adventures of catching Pokémon on the street with Pokémon GO.”
