According to Milan News, Leeds and Leicester have been attracted to the performances of Tommaso Pobega, who has been shining for Spezia.
The 21-year-old – who is on loan at Spezia from AC Milan – has made 14 appearances in Serie A this season.
Pobega has scored three goals and assisted a further two in those outings, helping Spezia sit 16th with 21 points – six points above the relegation zone.
Seeing as it’s the club’s first ever season in Serie A, they are doing well to keep their heads above water – Pobega has played a big part in that.
Milan News state that Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested in signing the Italy Under-21 international.

However, the report adds that he is hoping to return to AC Milan and make a name for himself at the San Siro.
Having said that, if Leeds can manage to convince him to sign, it sounds like they’d be getting a fine player judging by his manager’s comments.
After he scored in a 3-0 win over Benevento in November, Spezia boss Vincenzo Italiano praised Pobega, but also had one piece of constructive criticism for the midfield maestro.

Football Italia quote Italiano as saying: “Pobega is a young lad, who has shown he can have an important future. I am convinced if he improves on the ball and doesn’t give it away so often, he can do great things, as he has the physicality and times his forward runs really well.”
It sounds like Pobega has a lot of potential under his belt, but just needs to work on his ability in possession, it seems.
Whatever other shortcomings he may have, we’re sure they’d be ironed out by a coach as effective as Marcelo Bielsa.
