LucasFilms confirmed that Gina Carano, who is known for her role in Star Wars spin- off “The Mandalorian”, is no longer employed by the company following her Instagram Story posts.

On February 11th Gina shared a post to her story which compared “hating someone for their political views” in the US to the treatment of Jewish people during the Holocaust in Nazi Germany.

A spokesperson for LucasFilms called the posts “abhorrent” and #FireGinaCarano began trending on Twitter.

Gina Carano came under fire after sharing posts which compared “hating someone for their political views” in the US to the treatment of Jewish people during the Holocaust in Nazi Germany.

The hashtag #FireGinaCarano trended on Twitter following the post.

In a statement, a LucasFilm spokesperson said: “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.”

They continued:

“Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

What did Rahul Kohli tweet?

Amidst the Gina Carano drama on Twitter, Rahul Kohli shared a tweet which some fans have interpreted as being directed towards Gina.

On February 11th, Rahul tweeted: “Lol Girl Bye.”

The tweet has received over 29 thousand likes and the comments are flooded with people discussing Gina and her post.

Rahul has not stated who the tweet is about, however, it was posted shortly after Gina’s post and the confirmation from LucasFilms that she was not longer employed by them.
