Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has told BT Sport that Everton goalkeeper Robin Olsen impressed him in the very first minute of the game.
Spurs started well, as they pushed to score the opener – and Erik Lamela was the first player to have a shot on target.
Unfortunately for Tottenham they met a stubborn resistance in Olsen, with the Everton goalkeeper palming his shot away.
The rebound did fall to Lucas Moura, but he blazed his effort over the bar – and Mourinho complimented Olsen for the save in his post match interview.
He said: “I enjoyed the way we played when we had the ball. Since the first minute, great situation, and Lamela had a good save by Olsen and that was just the beginning.
“We had the ball, we create, we had great dynamic and movement – score goals, and created more chances. Great character to fight against incredible mistakes, but attacking football only wins matches when you don’t make more defensive mistakes than what you create.”

The praise for Olsen may have boosted his confidence, as yesterday definitely wasn’t a night for goalkeepers.
Everton managed to win 5-4 against Tottenham, and neither Olsen or Lloris covered themselves in glory.
Olsen seemed reluctant to come off his line for Everton, and arguably could have done better from the set-piece goals which his side conceded.
Lloris, meanwhile, made a howler for Everton’s first goal, as he failed to stop Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s powerful effort, despite it being straight at him.
