Celtic picked up a thumping win on Wednesday night beating St Mirren 4-0 away from home in a strong performance.

The Bhoys took a first-half lead through Tom Rogic, but then had to wait until deep into the second half to really press home their advantage.

Odsonne Edouard scored from the spot with 11 minutes to play, before Ryan Christie and David Turnbull added quickfire goals.

The 4-0 win is unlikely to see Celtic mount a run for the title with Rangers still 18 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, but it’s at least something for fans to shout about.

There were a number of impressive performances during this game, and defender Kristoffer Ajer turned in a strong display.

The Norwegian is a man in demand with Nice joining AC Milan for his signature according to Goal, and his display last night will surely have been appealing.

Ajer was solid defensively but offered plenty going forward too, embarking on exciting runs forward whilst also being able to progress the ball out from the back.

Celtic fans hailed Ajer for his performance last night, branding him an ‘amazing player’ whilst suggesting he will be impossible to replace.

Others admit they will cry when Ajer goes, believing that his exit will come sooner rather than later due to his quality.
