Charles Watts has said on his own Youtube channel that Arsenal insiders have told him that Thomas Partey may actually miss their game against Leeds United this weekend.
Arsenal are set to take on Leeds on Sunday, and reports earlier in the week had given optimism that Partey may be available to feature.
However, while the Ghanaian’s injury isn’t a serious one, Watts has been told that this weekend may come too soon for him.
“He continues to do pretty well, I’m told after limping off in the game against Villa,” Watts said.
“It’s not a serious injury at all, I’m told, so we’re not looking at the five or six weeks we had before – he’s doing well.
“But I wonder if he’s going to be risked against Leeds, even if he is passed fully fit. That decision hasn’t been made yet.
“People who I have spoken to suggest that Leeds might come a little too early for him, they might have one eye on that Benfica game.”

Arsenal’s caution over using Partey is understandable, given his troubles with injury since signing.
The Gunners rushed Partey back against Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the season, only for the midfielder to worsen his problem.
They will not want to repeat that error again, as Partey is already so key to their midfield.
The former Atletico man is a very classy operator, and it has taken him no time to adapt to the Premier League.
Arsenal take on Leeds on the back of two defeats, meaning the pressure will be on them to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.
