AC Milan are set to hold talks with Boulaye Dia after West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Arsenal failed to sign the Reims striker in the January transfer window, as reported by Le10 Sport.
From day one, Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot has made it clear if an acceptable offer arrives, one of Ligue 1’s hottest forwards will be free to leave the Stade Auguste-Delaune.
Few would have expected, then, that Dia would still be leading the line for Reims by mid-February. Especially after the Senegal international was linked with what felt like half the Premier League in the January window.
Arsenal and Everton were apparently interested, along with Crystal Palace and Fulham (Le10 Sport).
Dia was also one of the many, many strikers on West Ham’s hit list.
But David Moyes’ side had reservations about paying £12 million for a breakthrough star who has yet to prove himself across an entire league season (France Football).
But if the France-born forward was disappointed to miss out on a move across the Channel, something even better could be on the horizon. Patience, as they say, is a virtue.

Because, according to Le10 Sport, Dia has entered the radar of AC Milan – the Serie A leaders climbing the summit of Italian football again after tumbling down the mountain almost a decade ago.
Negotations over a move to the San Siro are on the agenda, with Napoli also expressing an interest.
Could Dia be playing Champions League football alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic next season? If the answer is “yes”, Moyes and West Ham may view this as an opportunity missed.
