According to Juve Live, Raphinha will be departing Leeds in order to join Liverpool as Marcelo Bielsa’s side target a replacement.

The Italian news outlet seem certain that the Brazilian will join Jürgen Klopp’s side.

Juve Live confidently describe Raphinha as ‘departing’ on two occasions.

The first mention of his departure is followed by brackets, which contain the information ‘destination Liverpool’ within them.

It’s no surprise that the Reds are admirers of the 24-year-old, who has taken the Premier League by storm.

Raphinha joined Leeds from Rennes in October for £17 million, in a deal that is starting to look like a bit of a bargain.

In 17 Premier League appearances this season, the Leeds No.18 has scored four goals and assisted four more.

His tendency to hug the touchline and cut infield on that dangerous left foot make him very similar to Paris Saint-Germain winger Ángel Di María.

Funnily enough, that’s exactly who Patrick Bamford likened his teammate to when speaking on The Official Leeds United Podcast.

The ex-Chelsea man said: “The closest similarity to him is he is very much like Di Maria. I mean, I’ve never trained or played with Di Maria, but watching him and watching the way Rapha moves, left-footed, they are really slim, the fact he can run all day, he’s fast.”

In our view, Raphinha would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool.

He has proven that he has the energy to play in a high-tempo system such as Bielsa’s, one which Klopp also adopts.

Additionally, he has the potential to replicate what Mohamed Salah offers the Reds out wide.

Both Raphinha and the Egypt international like to terrorise opponents by running at them, before cutting in on their left and testing the goalkeeper.

If Juve Live are to be trusted, then the South American will certainly be departing Elland Road for Anfield.
