Arsenal fans fear that William Saliba will be sold by Mikel Arteta after he once again spoke out about the Gunners’ manager.

Saliba told RMC Sport that Arteta judged him on just two and a half matches when he arrived at Arsenal, and that was why he couldn’t get a look in.

The £27 million central-defender (BBC Sport), who is currently playing for Nice on loan, has seemingly been very critical of Arteta since his move away.

In his latest comments, he said: “When I saw that the coach changed a lot changed for me too. In this year there has been a lot of change. He judged me on two-and-a-half matches. I would have liked for him to play me more. But he told me I wasn’t ready.

And the quotes have left Arsenal fans fearing for his future.

It is true that Arteta has taken a hard-line approach since his arrival at Arsenal.

The likes of Matteo Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil have both previously been ostracised by the Arsenal boss, and it will be interesting to see how he reacts to Saliba’s latest comments.

The teenager may be frustrated with not being handed a chance at moving to the Emirates Stadium, but at this stage keeping his silence could be the best option if he wants to make a success of his time at Arsenal when he does return.

The good news for the Gunners is that Saliba is coping excellently at on loan, and the temporary move is surely working out exactly how Arteta intended on the pitch.
