Leeds United have bounced back from the defeat to Everton with victory over Crystal Palace at Elland Road this evening.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side lost 2-1 to Everton at Elland Road in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

However, tonight, the Whites have got the better of Palace 2-0 at home to move up to 10th in the league table.

Jack Harrison, on loan from Manchester City, opened the scoring for the home team in the third minute, and Patrick Bamford doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute.

Noel Whelan was following the match for BBC Radio Leeds, and he was impressed by the performance of Leeds against Palace.

The former Leeds striker added that the Whites should have scored more than the two goals they did.

Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds at full time (9:55pm, February 8, 2021): “Very professional, great character to come back from a defeat against Everton, but very much like the second-half performance against Everton.

“Controlling the game, being aggressive, some of the play and link-up play was a joy again to watch. The only disappointment was that it was 2-0 because it should really have been a lot more than that.”

Leeds legend Lucas Radebe has revelled in the win on Twitter for the Whites against the Eagles.

The win against Palace means that Leeds are now 10th in the Premier League table with 32 points from 22 matches, eight points behind fourth-placed and defending English champions Liverpool.

The Whites will next face Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the league.
