Leeds United’s first team are in action against Crystal Palace tonight as they return to Premier League action.

The Whites will be looking to get back on track, and could take some inspiration from the club’s development side.

Leeds Under-23’s took on Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon, and picked up a thumping 4-2 win to continue their fine Premier League 2 campaign.

Max Dean had Leeds in front before Nohan Kenneh added a second, with Joe Gelhardt then hitting a brace to make it 4-0.

Cain Sykes bagged a second-half double to at least give Boro something to shout about, but this was undoubtedly Leeds’ day.

Gelhardt stole the show with his goals, but Kenneh also deserves some praise – and boy did he receive it from Leeds supporters.

The 18-year-old was born in Liberia but has three England Under-17 caps to his name, and has been playing in both central defence and holding midfield.

Fans have taken to Twitter to hail Kenneh, suggesting that the teenager could be the heir to Kalvin Phillips in midfield having been ‘brilliant’ on Sunday.

Others think Kenneh was ‘outstanding’ and looks to be a top talent, with real excitement building over the youngster’s displays.
