Gary Neville said on his podcast that Liverpool players were frustrated with Mohamed Salah against Manchester City.
The former Manchester United defender, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, noted that Salah gave away the ball too many times in the City half by trying to get past opposition players.
Neville noted that the Liverpool players were frustrated with the Egypt international forward, as Jurgen Klopp’s side lost the Premier League game 4-1 at Anfield.
The Englishman said about Salah on his podcast: “Salah, how many times does he give it away in the opposition half of the pitch where he tries to beat people? It’s frustrating. You see the rest of his teammates were frustrated with him.”
How did Mohamed Salah play?
Salah won a penalty and scored, but other than that, the former Chelsea attacking player did not have much influence over the game.
Although the 28-year-old worked hard for the team and tried to make good runs, he could not pull them off.

According to WhoScored, Salah took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 86.7%, won one header, and took 39 touches.
The defeat to City has put flight to Liverpool’s hopes of winning the Premier League title for the second season in a row.
It seems that it is now a challenge for the Reds to finish in the top four.
