West Ham United drew 0-0 on Saturday evening as they couldn’t break down Scott Parker’s Fulham.
The Hammers demolished Aston Villa 3-1 in midweek, and were hoping to build on that with another victory a little closer to home.
David Moyes’ side were frustrated though as they were held to a stalemate, with Vladimir Coufal having a great chance to score, but hit the crossbar with a header.
There was late drama at Craven Cottage as Coufal’s Czech compatriot Tomas Soucek was handed a red card before the full-time whistle.
Soucek appeared to elbow Aleksandar Mitrovic whilst waiting for a free kick to be taken, though whether it was intentional was unclear.
The incident went to VAR, and they recommended that Soucek was deserving of a red card, meaning he was given his marching orders.

That’s a major blow for West Ham given the sensational form Soucek has been in of late, and the midfielder has taken to Twitter to react to the situation.
Soucek claims he spoke to Mitrovic, and the Serbian suggested that duel was ‘fair’, branding the moment ‘really nice fair play’ even though he was red-carded for the incident, apologising to West Ham fans in the process.
