Some Arsenal fans on Twitter think that Alexandre Lacazette should have been awarded a penalty against Aston Villa today.

Villa have got the better of Arsenal 1-0 at Villa Park in the Premier League this afternoon.

Ollie Watkins scored the only goal of the match in the second minute to maintain the Villans’ chances of finishing in the European places in the league table this season.

There was one particular incident that some Arsenal fans felt hard done by. Following a corner, Lacazette seemed to have been brought down by Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

However, it was adjudged that it was the French striker who had committed a foul on Martinez, who joined Villa from Arsenal in the summer of 2020.
