Genshin Impact update 1.3 is now out and it has come with a Five Flushes of Fortune photography event as well as Xiao. While Xiao was confirmed pre-launch, there are still people asking whether the Hu Tao banner will come out during update 1.3. Although a banner for Xiao and Keqing is all that’s been confirmed, there is reason to believe that Hu Tao is still coming out, despite a possible delay to her release date.

Aside from the Five Flushes of Fortune event which is available right now, there’s plenty to look forward to during update 1.3. There’s the Lantern Rite with its own games, foods, activities, and rewards, and there will be a Stand By Me event with a free Liyue character to get.

All of the above are exciting occasions to anticipate, but below you’ll discover if the Hu Tao banner is still coming out in Genshin Impact update 1.3.

Is the Hu Tao banner coming out in Genshin Impact update 1.3?

The Hu Tao banner is not confirmed to be coming out during Genshin Impact update 1.3.

However, it’s reckoned that Hu Tao will come out as third banner for Genshin Impact update 1.3 despite the confirmed inclusion of Keqing.

Xiao was initially leaked for the version and his inclusion was confirmed by miHoYo with Keqing scheduled to follow shortly afterward.

Keqing isn’t a new character though, and this has resulted in some of the community speculating that miHoYo will reveal further content during the weeks of February.

While Hu Tao is not confirmed to be coming, insider NEP NEP has posted on Twitter that she’s still set to release as a third banner.

Genshin Impact Hu Tao release date

There is no confirmed release date for the Hu Tao banner in Genshin Impact.

However, if Hu Tao does indeed come out in Genshin Impact update 1.3, the release date for her banner could come about on March 2nd.

NEP NEP says that she’s been delayed because of some production issues thanks to the Chinese New Year and other matters.

Xiao will last in Genshin Impact from February 3rd until the 18th where he’ll then be replaced by Keqing.

The Keqing banner is scheduled to end on March 2nd, and – if miHoYo stick to six weeks between versions – update 1.4 could land on March 10th. This would leave an eight day open period for a hypoethical Hu Tao banner.
