Olivier Ntcham might have dropped a fairly big hint that he has no plans on coming back to Celtic.
Ntcham, who joined the Hoops for £4.5 million in the summer of 2017, has signed for Marseille on a half-season loan.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon had virtually exiled him from his first-team plans in recent months and a winter exit looked on the cards, especially after Newcastle United were linked.
But the French midfielder has returned to his homeland and, going by his post on Twitter yesterday, he has no intentions of ever returning to Glasgow.
Here’s what the former Manchester City youth posted on social media:
Ntcham’s message certainly reads like a permanent goodbye rather than a ‘I’ll see you in six months’ sort of post.
And honestly, the Parkhead faithful won’t care that much if he doesn’t return.
Despite boasting a lot of talent, Ntcham, whose arrival at Marseille was openly denounced by Andre Villas-Boas, hasn’t been a huge fan favourite among Celtic supporters due to his attitude.
And although they’ll want a good fee for him, there’ll be no tears over the player himself if he never comes back.
