Sol Campbell has raved about Arsenal defender Rob Holding on Stadium Astro.
The former Arsenal defender has been impressed by the performance of Holding for the Gunners so far this season.
Campbell has said that the 25-year-old has been fantastic for Mikel Arteta’s side, and believes that the English defender has held his own.
The Englishman said about Holding on Stadium Astro: “Rob Holding, I think, has been fantastic. He had a couple of injures as well in the beginning of the season, in and out, but he has come in and he has come in solid, and he has held his own.”
Campbell added: “He has really come on and I am really happy for him.”
Important player for Arsenal
Holding has had injury problems during his time at Arsenal, but the 25-year-old has now established himself as an important player in Arteta’s team and is playing regularly.
According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old has made 17 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Gunners so far this season, providing one assist in the process.
The English defender has also played once in the Europa League for the North London club this campaign, according to WhoScored.
The Gunners are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table and are also in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
For Arsenal to achieve their objectives this season, Holding will have to be on top of his game throughout.
