According to The Athletic, Leeds United think that they made a bargain signing in Raphinha in the summer of 2020.
It has been reported that Leeds paid Rennes £17 million in transfer fees to secure the services of Raphinha in October 2020.
The report has added that the Premier League club ‘were convinced’ that the Brazilian winger ‘under-priced’.
How has Raphinha fared at Leeds United?
Raphinha has been superb for Leeds so far this season. The 24-year-old’s guile, finesse and quality have made the Whites a better team.
According to WhoScored, the winger has made 11 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.
Going strong
Leeds have been inconsistent this season, but the promoted Premier League club are having a good campaign.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are 12th in the league table at the moment with 26 points from 19 matches.
The West Yorkshire club will return to action on Sunday when they take on Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
