Some West Ham fans on social media have been raving over Ademipo Odubeko after he netted a brace for the U23s on Friday evening.

The Hammers’ youth side beat Southampton in what seemed to be a cracking game, and the man who will be making all of the headlines is Odubeko.

The young striker netted twice to sink the Saints, and with David Moyes reportedly in attendance, we can only imagine that the Hammers boss was impressed by what he saw.

As well as his two goals, the forward also grabbed an assist, and as you can imagine, a performance this impressive garnered a massive reaction online.

Indeed, Hammers supporters were calling for him to get a first-team chance, while some sections of the fanbase claimed that this meant they don’t need a striker this month, despite consistently being linked to one.

Of course, U23s football is a completely different kettle of fish to the senior game, especially at Premier League level, but we have to admit that Odubeko is doing his chances no harm by performing like this for the youth team.
