Some West Ham fans on social media have been reacting as Liverpool have been linked with a move for Issa Diop.
The Reds are now trying to sign a centre-back, and there have been strong links to Diop, with sources close to the player reportedly claiming that the Merseyside outfit have made an enquiry about him.
As you can imagine, this sparked a bit of a reaction amongst the West Ham fanbase, and it’s fair to say that the supporters were split.
Some didn’t want to see him go under any circumstances, claiming that the 24-year-old can still become a key player at the London Stadium, while others were happy to let him go for the right price.
One idea that kept cropping up was the suggestion of swapping him for Divock Origi, and while we don’t know if that’s something Liverpool would consider, but it does make a lot of sense when you think about it.
Whether or not this deal gets over the line remains to be seen, but if Diop does go to Anfield, it will spark mixed reaction amongst the West Ham faithful, especially if they don’t get a good price for him.
