According to Corriere dello Sport, Edin Dzeko is keen on a return to Manchester City after falling out with Paulo Fonseca at Roma.
The 112-cap Bosnia and Herzegovina international has come to blows with his manager, and now looks likely to depart Rome with West Ham also interested in signing him.
However, Dzeko is in favour of returning to the Etihad Stadium, where he won two Premier League titles and scored 50 Premier League goals.
Sadly for the former Wolfsburg hitman, Corriere dello Sport say that Pep Guardiola isn’t interested in signing him.
Sergio Aguero has endured a turbulent season, but the Citizens still have the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Ferran Torres to play upfront.
It would be a romantic move for the 34-year-old, although it certainly couldn’t be viewed as a long-term signing by City, but more of a stop-gap.
Corriere dello Sport say that Juventus and Inter Milan have made approaches for the Bosnian marksman, although they do not suit Roma’s demands.
Even Real Madrid have submitted a proposal, offering to sign the €7.5 million-a-year forward (£6.6 million-a-year) in a swap deal including Mariano Diaz.
Despite his age, Dzeko – who earns £126,923-a-week – is still providing the goods in a top European league, having netted eight goals in 20 appearances this season.
