Fans of Demi Moore have alluded to plastic surgery after her appearance at the S/S 2021 Fendi show was very different.
Of course, there’s no confirmation as to whether the change is down to plastic surgery, or simply make-up. However, fans were confused by the actress’ more-prominent-than-usual cheekbones during her surprise catwalk at Fendi’s show on January 29th.
Sharing the video to Instagram, Demi Moore captioned it: “Fulfilling a teenage dream… Thank you @mrkimjones for having me open the @Fendi SS21 show and congratulations on a beautiful and magical debut!”
Fans took to Twitter to express their confusion over Demi’s face at the show. However, fans have also suggested a mix of strong contour make-up and lighting could be the culprit. Admittedly, the change is not so noticeable in other pictures from the show, making the latter plausible.
What plastic surgery has Demi Moore had 2021?
Although, she’s regularly faces accusations of going under-the-knife, Demi has previously insisted that she hasn’t had plastic surgery. In fact, in the early 2000s, the actress was regularly accused of having upwards of £200,000 worth of surgery.
She confronted those rumours in a 2007 Marie Claire interview, saying: “I don’t like the idea of having an operation to hold up the aging process — it’s a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won’t make you happy.”
She continued that she “would never judge those who have,” adding: “If it’s the best thing for them, then I don’t see a problem.”
However in a 2010 interview with Elle, she confirmed that she had undergone some surgery but not £200,000 worth: “I have had something done but it’s not on my face,” she said.
“It feels like school-yard name-calling a lot of the time. It hurts. You know what? Maybe one day I’ll go under the knife. It just irritates me that people are constantly saying how much I’ve spent on plastic surgery,” continued Demi.
It’s unconfirmed what body surgery Demi underwent, but 2006 saw an influx of claims of the actress having a knee-lift. Yes, that exists.
It’s not the first time a photo led to surgery claims
The pictures of Demi Moore at the 2021 Fendi show aren’t the first to lead to questions of surgery. Her 2010 Harper’s Bazaar cover caused confusion in fans over her hip which appeared differently to other covers.
“Okay, that is literally my shape,” said Demi to the magazine. However it was the claims of botched surgery that got to Demi over the photoshopping ones:
“[It] wasn’t that people were saying it was retouched, it was that they were saying my hip was so badly botched because a hunk of it was taken out. I called the photographers and they said, ‘We did not touch anything on your hip, your thigh, or your waist. It was the position’ Actually, somebody send me an image I retweeted on Twitter. It was this beautiful marble statue, and the body position was exactly the same as what I was doing. This person had outlines how the hip goes in and the leg goes out.”
