Who was 6 dogs?
Chase Amick, better known by his stage name 6 Dogs, was a popular rapper based in Atlanta.
The 21-year-old released his popular album Hi-Hats & Heartaches in 2019 and some of his most famous songs include Faygo Dreams, Guccy Armor, Someone and Flossing.
He first rose to fame after posting his tracks on Soundcloud where he gained hundreds of thousands of followers. However, he had to produce his music in secret due to his strictly religious Christian family.
6 Dogs passed away aged 21
6 Dogs has reportedly passed away at the age of 21.
Local Georgia news site Everything Georgia reported on Twitter that he died from suicide on Tuesday morning, however, an official cause of death has not yet been revealed.
In late 2020, 6 Dogs revealed that he had contracted Covid-19 and hinted that he was struggling with his mental health when he tweeted:
“If you have friends in the music biz call them and check on them. This rat race that we all are in is not cool. Some days I feel like a superhero.”

Following the news of his death, tributes to the Atlanta-based rapper have flooded Twitter.
Fellow rapper Benny Blanco was one of the first to express his condolences, writing:
“He may have been ur favorite rapper 6dogs… but to me he was one of the kindest, toe painting, star gazing, art making, day dreaming, thoughtful, warmest souls I had ever met… the way u made us laugh and the ridiculous stories u would tell…Rip 6 dogs. real underground legend. made it all the way to benny blanco off of some internet rap songs. forever the goat.”
Fans have also paid tribute.
“As if 2021 didn’t start out bad enough, today I was told that Chase Amick, aka 6 Dogs, has passed away. It’s a terrible loss. Rest in piece Chase, you had so much more coming,” said another.
