According to The Athletic, Celtic are interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday defender Liam Shaw.
It’s claimed that the Bhoys are looking to England for signings, with Preston duo Ben Davies and Ben Pearson both wanted.
Celtic are also looking at Shaw though, in a move which could be a potential bargain for Neil Lennon’s side.

Shaw is out of contract at the end of the season, and cross-border contract rules mean Celtic could sign him for minimal compensation.
Shaw, 19, can play in central midfielder or at centre back, and has emerged as a shining light for Wednesday this season.

The boyhood Owls fan has played 12 games in all competitions this season, registering one goal and one assist whilst showing real promise.
Wednesday are understandably desperate to keep hold of Shaw, and learning that Celtic want him may set alarm bells ringing.
Shaw is highly rated at Hillsborough, and teammate Josh Windass – formerly of Celtic’s bitter rivals Rangers – recently tweeted that Shaw should be in line for the Ballon d’Or.
That’s of course rather tongue-in-cheek, but just goes to show how Shaw is viewed at Wednesday, with Celtic potentially positioning themselves for a bargain.
