The last time Blackpink fan’s heard a solo song was back in 2018, when Jennie was the first member to release her single ‘Solo’. It was a huge success both in Korea and internationally, after landing number one on South Korean music charts and US World Digital Song Sales.

After over two years of waiting, the fan’s, known as ‘blinks’, finally get to hear Rosé’s solo, and you can be sure it’s going to show off her vocals.

When will Rosé’s solo song be released?

According to South Korean news website Naver, the group’s company, YG Entertainment announced that Rosé’s song will be revealed at Blackpink’s online concert ‘The Show’. The YouTube livestream is scheduled for 2pm KST on Sunday 31st January 2021, making that 5am GMT.

Rather than releasing it worldwide as normal, Rosé has chosen to give her fan’s the first listen of her song, after making them wait for long. It is unusual for K-Pop idols to perform their new drops without simultaneously revealing the music video as well.

The company’s statement also gave hints to what kind of song to expect: “It contains the merits of a sweet yet soulful vocal,” and “It will definitely be a differentiated song from the existing Black Pink music.”

How to listen to Rosé’s new solo

Since she is giving fan’s the exclusive listen, the only way is to get access to the online concert.

To buy your tickets, go to Blackpink’s official YouTube channel and click ‘join’ to purchase a 2-month access pass for £25.98 (standard) or £35.98 (plus). The membership will end on February 17th.
