Over the years, people have flocked to TikTok to share their tips and tricks for everything from cleaning to looking after children to arts and crafts.
TikTokker Lauren Giraldo uploaded a video in November sharing her workout routine, and with over 2.7 million likes, the video has shocked users all over the world.
Lauren showed her followers her fitness journey in photographs, and revealed the secret behind it was not dieting, but doing a treadmill workout which only features walking.
What is the TikTok Treadmill Workout?
Back in November, Lauren Giraldo posted a TikTok video, sharing with her followers her treadmill workout which she swears by.
Lauren shared her body transformation, before telling viewers that she does not diet or “calorie count.” All you need is treadmill, which you need to adjust to the following settings:
Put your treadmill on an incline of 12, and a speed of 3 for 30 minutes, hence making the 12-3-30 workout.
Lauren says she does the workout about five times a week.
Lauren told Today how it all began:
“I started playing around with the settings, and at the time, my gym’s treadmill had 12 incline as the max. The three miles per hour felt right, like walking, and my grandma had always told me that 30 minutes of exercise a day was all you needed. That’s how the combination started.”
Does the 12-3-30 Challenge work?
Lauren explained to Today that running wasn’t always something she found easy: “I’m not a runner, and running on the treadmill was not working for me.”
She continued: “It was definitely a struggle at the beginning, and it took me a couple of months to really start to enjoy the workout. I found that just focusing on myself for 30 minutes a day was not only great for my body, but also great for my mentality. Now, it’s something I look forward to doing every morning.”
