Jack Wilshere has said on Twitter that Manuel Lanzini is the best foreign player he played with at West Ham United.

Wilshere joined West Ham in the summer of 2018 after leaving London and Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The 29-year-old midfielder, now on the books of Bournemouth in the Championship, parted company with the Hammers in October 2020.

The Englishman has said that Argentina international attacking midfielder Lanzini is the best foreign player he played with at the London Stadium.

Wilshere has also said that it was a dream come true for him to play for West Ham.

Linked away

Interestingly, Lanzini has been linked with a move away from West Ham in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, West Ham may offer the attacking midfielder to Marseille in a part-exchange deal to sign Morgan Sanson this month.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that the 27-year-old is rated at £15 million.

Lanzini, who has had injury problems in recent years, has made two starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for West Ham so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
