According to a report in Diario Madridista, Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid.
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also reported to be monitoring the Madrid attacker, who is having a tough time at the Spanish and European giants.
The report has claimed that defending Premier League champions Liverpool made contact with the entourage of the Brazilian in the summer of 2020 and are still monitoring the 20-year-old winger.
Do Liverpool need Vinicius Junior?
Vinicius has not been a huge success at Madrid and is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.
According to WhoScored, the Brazil international winger has made eight starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga and has made two starts and four substitute appearances in the Champions League for Los Blancos so far this season.
Liverpool do have a very good attacking unit. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are superb footballers, while Diogo Jota is very promising.
However, the Reds could do with added competition, and Vinicius could prove to be a good signing in the long run.
