Wilshere was linked with Rangers before he recently signed for Bournemouth in the Championship in England on a free transfer.
Press Association reported in October 2020 of the former Arsenal midfielder’s willingness to join Rangers if Gerrard made an approach.

No need for Jack Wilshere at Rangers
Rangers are doing extremely well in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and look set to win the title this season.
Wilshere did not play much football at West Ham during his time at the London Stadium and had been without a club since October 2020 until now when he joined Bournemouth.
There is no doubt that Wilshere is a very good footballer who would be an asset for any team, but there is really no need for Rangers to sign him this season.
As for Wilshere, the former Arsenal star will now hope to help Bournemouth to promotion to the Premier League.
